J+A HVAC & MORE LLC is a family-run contractor working out of Lakeville, Massachusetts. We started the way most small shops around here do — one truck, one trade, and neighbors who kept asking whether we could handle the rest of the job too.
Now we do. Heating and cooling are at the core of the business, but a heat pump swap in a 1920s farmhouse rarely stays a heat pump swap. There’s a condensate line to run, an old oil tank in the way, a wall to open and close again, sometimes a trench out to the street. Carrying HVAC, plumbing, excavation, and carpentry under one roof means we can finish what we start — instead of handing you a list of other people to call.

We quote what we see
Someone comes out, looks at the actual equipment, the actual basement, the actual panel — then writes the number. We provide a written scope and discuss any additional work before proceeding.

The owner is on the job
This is a family business, not a franchise. The person who walked your house is the person who answers the phone when something isn’t right afterward.

We clean up like it is our house
Drop cloths down, old equipment hauled out, the hole in the drywall patched by our own carpenter before we leave. Finishing the job includes the part nobody photographs.

We tell you when not to replace
Plenty of systems have years left in them. If repair and cleaning are the right solution, that’s the answer you’ll get — a replacement you didn’t need is how shops lose a neighborhood.

What towns do you serve?
We work out of Lakeville and cover the surrounding towns in Plymouth and Bristol counties and across Cape Cod — Middleborough, Freetown, Rochester, Berkley, Taunton, Bridgewater, Carver, Raynham, and Acushnet among them. If you border one of those, call us anyway; we usually can.
Do you really do plumbing and excavation too, or do you subcontract it?
We do it ourselves. That is the whole reason the company is called “and More.” On a typical heat pump or water heater job, the same outfit handles the mechanical work, the plumbing connections, any digging, and the carpentry to close everything back up.
How does Mass Save fit into a project?
Mass Save and local utility programs offer rebates and financing on qualifying equipment like heat pumps and heat pump water heaters. We help you understand which programs apply to your project and work through the paperwork with you.
Can you work on an older house?
Most of what we touch is older. Capes, colonials, farmhouses with fieldstone basements and older wiring and construction details. We plan around what the house actually is — duct runs that fit real joist bays, equipment sized for real insulation levels.
How soon can you come out?
It depends on the season and the job. Call or text and we will tell you honestly where you land in the schedule rather than promising a window we cannot hold.
