Water heaters & heat pump water heaters

We install and replace tank, tankless, and heat pump water heaters. We compare options based on your household’s hot-water needs, available space, energy source, and installation requirements. Heat pump water heaters can use less energy than a standard electric tank, depending on the home and how it is used, and they may qualify for Mass Save or local utility rebates.

We install tank, tankless, and heat pump water heaters. The last of those is worth a serious look: it runs at a fraction of the operating cost of a standard electric tank, and it is among the equipment Mass Save and local utility programs most actively support.

FAQs

Water heater questions, answered.

Still unsure? Ask us directly — no obligation.

What is a heat pump water heater, exactly?

It moves heat out of the surrounding air into the water instead of generating heat directly, which is why it uses substantially less electricity than a conventional electric tank. It needs a reasonable amount of air volume around it — an unfinished basement is usually ideal — and it produces cool, slightly drier air as a side effect.

Tankless or tank?

Tankless suits households with high or unpredictable demand and can free up floor space, but it often needs venting and gas or electrical upgrades. A well-sized tank is simpler and cheaper to install. We lay out what each would actually require in your basement rather than in the abstract.

How long does a replacement take?

A like-for-like tank swap is generally a few hours. Changing type — tank to tankless, or electric tank to heat pump — takes longer because venting, drainage, or electrical work is involved.

Are rebates available?

Heat pump water heaters in particular are supported by Mass Save and local utility programs. We help you understand which programs may apply to your installation and work through the paperwork with you; the program terms themselves are published on the official Mass Save site.

Can you come out quickly if mine is leaking?

Call or text and we will tell you honestly where you land in the schedule. Shut the water supply to the heater off first if you can reach the valve safely.
